I had a bunch of stuff I wanted to write about but I wanted to get something out because its been a few weeks so here is something. My next post will talk about secrecy and social classes but not in a typical rich vs poor social class but you see what I’m talking about.

So Ike is hitting Houston. Ike was scheduled to hit at 12:00 AM this morning (I’m writing this at 6:54AM (It is confirmed that Ike hit at 2:10AM) and the media is making a huge fuss about this. I say “fuss” because I lived in Houston for 18 years and I have been through a few category 3 hurricanes that were “strong” and countless category 2 hurricanes. I blame Katrina’s levees for the mass hysteria and overreaction caused by a negative coverage of every storm. People are making hurricanes out to be more than just a huge storm. It makes me furious when especially these same people who say “Please get out, it is VERY dangerous to be out here right now” are the same idiots in the middle of the road in the middle of the stupid storm! This is mind-boggling and I don’t think I’ll ever understand this. Sure you’ll say its for ratings, but I still think they are idiots.

That said, has anyone ever noticed the amount of crap the US gives Cuba and how often they get hit by these hurricanes? We rush to give aid to anyone and everyone who needs it except for Cuba. I don’t understand this Cuban hate in American politics. If anything, Cuba is a much smaller threat then China is and that’s what really makes me shake our head. We have our missiles pointed at an island smaller than most states in America and yet we’re blindly shaking hands with the Chinese. That is just unacceptable and one of the things I think needs to be addressed in the future. Relations, however big or small, need to be kept, because you never know what’s going to happen tomorrow and we may actually need something from them.

Now on to politics…This is how I think the next president should be selected (around minute 3):

“Ladies and Gentlemen please welcome the next President of the United States of America, Sarah Palin,” is all I can seem to hear whenever someone says Palin is our vice president. She is the running mate of an old man, or elderly gentlemen, however you want to think of it and that is where I see the problem. What I see happening is, sometime or another Mr. John McCain will end up having a heart attack or something and then the FORMER Mrs. Alaska Runner-up will be there to help shape this country and by shape this country I mean give the United States a “pretty face” rather than a stern first which is demanded when you’re in charge. I don’t know how she got picked. I know why. Many still do not know, and my political observation is that since McCain was a “maverick” who crossed party lines he needed to shut the conservative base up and to pick a strong conservative candidate so he can start playing some offense against the Democrats. This leads me to the next point, I don’t care what you think but Sarah Palin, for political gain, forced her daughter and her partner to get married. On top of this she asks the media to stay out of her life and to not judge her decisions which made me laugh so hysterically I almost fell out of my chair. I think that is very funny as she is the same person who wants to invade our privacy by denying women the right to get an abortion.

That said, currently my view on politics is that our government is so messed up that we need someone to make a bunch of irrational and rational decisions in a short period of time to drastically change America. If change is not made (ABS(CHANGE) - Positive or Negative change) people will think of Washington as business as usual and that just isn’t cutting it. Hopefully with some positive changes and even more negative changes we will be forced as Americans to be better selective of the next president or else move to Canada. That is my current stance because the crap that’s currently going on isn’t cutting it.

Since I’m on the subject of politics, recently it was brought to my attention that in 1787 a few guys got pissed off and rebelled in America. This rebellion, known as Shays’ Rebellion, was a bunch of farmers angry about their homes being taken and a mortgage crisis going on during that time. I see very many parallels with today’s current status and how furious people are with a government and however unlikely it may be, I think this is quite a possibility. It may not completely change America like it did the first time, but rather it would open enough eyes to stuff done.

So I’m here, days after the LHC was turned on. The Large Hydron Collider is essentially an atom smasher. It will (hopefully sooner then later) blast two protons at each other at 99.9999991% the speed of light and show us two things. One, it will show us how our world was formed and hopefully replicate the big bang. Two, it will hopefully discover the higgs bosom particle which is known as the “god particle” which is needed in particle physics to explain our current understanding but the problem has been we have yet to discover this particle. The math says that the higgs bosom particle exists but hopefully the LHC will help us get to the bottom of this and make a huge step forward in physics. That said however, there are claims from a few physicists that there is a possibility that the LHC will cause some micro black holes which will in turn cause the end of the world.
A talk given by Brian Cox on CERN’s supercollider hosted by TED.com:

Stay tuned.
